The design of the plastic recycling bin is based on recycling data from Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong, also considering plastic identification codes, recycling ratios and sizes. They expected that the newly design bin would allow users to easily recycle different types of plastics according to the different individual entries on the bin. This will greatly reduce the classification cost in the recycling sector.
